Rebel Breed was invited to participate in the first performance by collaborative theatre company KLiC Theatre. Led by Nathan Human, we joined local theatre makers Impulse Collective and Scufflebox Theatre Company to produce a show called The Shire, performed on January 30th, 2014.

After winning UK City of Culture the Mayor of Leicester builds on the swelling pride in the city to push Leicestershire through as an independent country. A premium is placed on crisps, cheese and pork pies and immigrants from Corby are turned away at the border. Will Britain’s sporting capital of 1997 thrive in it’s independence or will family conflict and ambition lead to violence?
